RMA POLICY

Returns
a) Battery House reserves the sole right to authorize returns for all products sold.
b) All sales are final and product can not be returned after 30 days unless it is the subject of a warranty claim.

 

Warranty
Laptop & Notebook battery packs, AC Adapters, Car/Air Cords:
a) During the first 90 days from date of purchase, Battery House will repair or replace any defective battery, ac adapter, car/air cord, powerbase.
b) After 90 days and up to one year from date of purchase, Battery House will, sub¬ject to inspection and testing, repair or replace the battery pack with a new or recon¬ditioned product. Battery capacity degradation due to continuous use is not covered by warranty. (The return must be accompanied with a check or money order in the amount of $10.00 to cover the cost of testing, postage, handling. The check will be returned in the event that a defect in material or workmanship is confirmed).
c) A battery pack containing 80% of original capacity after 12 months use is considered normal by the portable battery industry and is not subject to warranty replacement.
d) Battery House warranty does not extend to the computer equipment utilized with any product supplied by Battery House.


Warranty Void if:
e) Label and/or serial number removed.
f) Bar code warranty label removed.
g) Battery pack modified, improperly charged, improperly installed, neglected, over¬charged, opened, or misused in any way.
h) Label or packaging written on or defaced, or battery and packaging not in re-saleable condition.
i) Parts or components missing.
j) Failure to protect the product being RMA returned with an outer box and crush-proof packaging.


Warranty for all other products:
- All other items carry their relative manufacturers warranty.

- Sealed Lead Acid Battery (AGM/GEL) - 6 Month Warranty
- Cordless Phone Batteries - 6 Month Warranty
- Chargers - 6 Month Warranty
- Camcorder and Digital Camera Batteries * - 1 Year Warranty (*Excludes AA & AAA Cells)
- Cordless Tool Batteries New or Rebuild - 6 Month Warranty
- Two-Way Radio Batteries** - 1 Year Warranty (**Will Hold 80% Plus Rated Capacity)
- PDA, MP3 Battery Packs - 1 Year Warranty
- Flashlights - As per Manufacturer stated warranty
- Scanner Batteries - 6 Month Warranty
- NIMH, NICD Rechargeable Cells - 1 Month Warranty
- Alkaline, Photo batteries, Specialty Cells, - Freshness Guarantee
- Cellular Batteries***, CLA, TWC - 6 Months Warranty


Credit Policy
a) Once we receive the item, you will receive a refund within 7-12 business days. Refunds will be made with the same method of payment as the original order. If you paid by certified cheque or money order, a refund may take up to 45 days. The customer is responsible for shipping charges on returned products. If the return is our mistake or if the product is defective, we will refund the shipping cost
b) Full credit will be issued if Battery House by accident ships a product other than that which was ordered.
c) All other credits are subject to warranty, inspection, testing, repair, and replacement to determine eligibility for credit which may be issued or denied and may incur a re-stocking fee.
d) The value of your credit may be reduced should you fail to return a component shipped with the original product e.g. a powercord
e) The credit will be based on the original invoice value at the time of the return, less any applicable re-stocking fees, testing fees or freight charges.
f) No credit will be issued for D.O.A. or Defective product that is returned with physical damage.
g) D.O.A. product must be claimed within 15 days of invoice date


 

D.O.A. — Defective
a) Replacement products can be cross shipped. See Cross Shipments.
b) If the D.O.A. product cannot be replaced or repaired at our discretion, we will issue a credit

 

Non-compatible with Laptop or Notebook
Battery House identification of replacement parts is based on customer supplied information.
While we make reasonable effort to ensure compatibility, we make no warranty that the parts supplied will be compatible. While Battery House and its customers working together can reduce the possibility for error by communicating all available make, model, chemistry etc. information the lack of standardization in battery labelling will occasionally result in non-compatibility.
a) Prior to returning non-compatible product(s), contact Battery House for problem analysis and replacement approval at (506) 854-9699.
b) Claims for return or exchange for non-compatible product must be made within 15 days of receipt. Claims made after 15 days will be subject to a re-stocking fee of 30%. Claims made after 30 days will not be accepted

 

Cancelled Orders/Refused Shipments/Shipping Errors
a) Orders shipped in accordance with customers request / purchase order and subsequently can¬celled after shipment will be subject to a re-stocking fee.
b) Orders shipped in accordance with customers request / purchase order and subsequently refused at point of delivery will be subject to a re-stocking fee.
c) Does Battery House ship internationally? We only ship to Canada and the USA at this monment.


How much does shipping cost?
We calculate shipping and handling costs by shipment. When they add an item to the cart a default
shipping price is attached.
When you “Checkout” you’ll be asked to select from Mail, Expeidet Mail, Standard Ground Couier, or
Express Couier. Our shipping costs are weight-based. All weights are rounded up to the next full pound.

1 Please note that the shipping and handling charges listed on this page are approximate, and subject
 to change. Shipping charges are in Canadian dollars. Final shipping and handling charges will be
 confirmed upon order.
2 The shipment times are based on when your package leaves the warehouse, not when your order
 is placed. We will confirm an estimated delivery date via email.

Can you to ship it to my hotel? Someone else? A PO box address?
Yes. Simply enter the address in the "Ship to" portion of the Checkout process. Courier services cannot
ship to a PO Box. If you do not have a physical address we will mail your package using the regular
postal service, however, we cannot guarantee  a delivery time.

When can I expect to receive my order?
Your order depends on the availability of the product and the shipping method you select. Occasionally,
the product is on back order. If a delay or back order occurs, we will notify you via e-mail.
 You will have the option to cancel delayed items.

 

Lost Shipments
a) Customer is responsible for all undelivered freight claims against carrier for shipments made on customers freight account.
b) Shipments not traceable within 24 hours of expected delivery date may be re-shipped at customers request but will be accepted as a new order. Credit will be issued for lost shipment in accordance with our RMA procedure when the product is located, delivered and returned to Battery House

 

Shipping Damage
a) Damages in transit need to be reported to Battery House within 24 hours of re¬ceipt of package

 

RMA Procedure
a) No return will be accepted without an RMA number.
b) To obtain an RMA form, contact us at (506) 854-9699 or download the RMA form at www.batteryhouse.ca
c) For efficient handling of your return, complete all shaded areas of the form. Failure to do so will delay your RMA approval.
d) Fax the RMA form to (506) 388-9472
e) If approved, your RMA form will be faxed back with your approved RMA #.
f) RMA # is valid for 15 days.
g) Return merchandise must be surrounded with 5 cm (2”) min. on all sides of crushproof (i.e. bubble wrap or foam) packaging and packaged in an outer cardboard shipping carton
h) Return merchandise must be shipped freight pre-paid with the valid RMA # written on the outside shipping box. If the RMA # is not on the box, we reserve the right to refuse the shipment. Note: COD shipments will be refused.
i) All return shipments must be insured for the minimum value of $100.00 at shippers expense. Failure to do so may void your warranty


Cross Shipments
a) Applies only within 90 days of the original invoice date.
b) An RMA # must be issued for the original product prior to a Cross Shipment.
c) Will typically ship the day of RMA issue provided the product is in stock..
d) Battery House will pay outbound freight and insurance only


Placing an Order

What if I can’t find my battery on your site?
Whatever you require we will try to supply you with the battery you need. If you can’t find it, complete
 our online form, email us, or calls us at (506) 854-9699.

 

Will I receive a receipt for my transaction?
At the end of your online transaction, please print the form at "Checkout" as a receipt for your transaction.
You will also receive an order confirmation via email, which you may keep for your records, and a
packing slip upon receipt of your purchase.

 

What ways can I pay for my order?
You can pay for your order online with your VISA, MasterCard, or American Express via our online
payment gateway. Note that all of our advertised prices are in Canadian dollars. If you prefer to fax
your order, print the completed "Checkout" page and fax it to us at (506) 388-9472. We do not
accept check’s for payment we will accept money order’s, please contact us at (506) 854-9699

Purchasing with your credit card is safe because we use SSL technology that encrypts your information. This means that your information is unreadable as it travels to our server. Please read our online Privacy and Security Policy
